Westminster Ponds Centre’s work as an environmental organization that is putting down roots in lands that are the traditional territories of the Attawandaron, Anishinaabeg, Haudenosaunee, and Lunaapeewak peoples—peoples and Nations who have longstanding relationships to the land, water, and region of southwestern Ontario.  We would also like to recognize the local First Nations communities in this geographical region who continue to be stewards and protectors of the land: Chippewas of the Thames First Nation, Oneida Nation of the Thames and Munsee-Delaware Nation.

ReForest London is guided by a mission to work towards restoring the biodiversity of the Carolinian forest and repairing land that has suffered degradation due to colonial practices that fundamentally misunderstand and ignore the lessons of ecology and Indigenous knowledge. ReForest London is committed to the principle of putting our land acknowledgement into concrete actions and working alongside Indigenous peoples to plant, nurture and grow a just and green future for everyone.
