Solutions at Scale: Urban Forestry Education Series
Climate change is a continuously growing crisis with far-reaching impacts. Adding to the complexity is determining what solutions, top-down or bottom-up, provide the best results for a sustainable future.
Solutions at scale bridges the divide, showcasing solutions from the global to the community level all focused on combating the climate crisis. This year the focus is on our Urban Forests.
Environmental Leadership Project
The Environmental Leadership Project offered by the Thames Valley District School Board is a multi-credit Grade 10 program that allows students to explore the outdoors, the environment, leadership, and civic issues through project-based learning.
Native Plant Sale
The Native Plant Sale is an annual fundraiser for local ENGO's to generate impact through climate action.
Outdoor Recreation Programs
Hundreds of Londoners visit the WPC every week to enjoy various recreational and leisure opportunities offered in a beautiful, natural setting.
Seed Hub
The Seed Hub is a volunteer-driven program focused on the ethical collecting and growing of seeds from our native trees and shrubs.
Signal Boost Initiative
Through our Signal Boost Initiative (SBI), ReForest London hosts and supports free and low-cost environmental events through the new Westminster Ponds Centre. In partnership with the London Environmental Network, dozens of environmental organizations lead public education events and volunteer training sessions.
Wild Child
A free, weekly drop-in program offered twice a week by Childreach brings little ones and their parents into the woods to enjoy free play in a natural setting.
